Violetweed
Violetweed split from its ancestor, moving into the temperate and tropical coasts of Dixon. To maximize photosynthesis, the small protrusions from the mats of its ancestor evolved into thin vertical ribbons extending as much as a meter in height. In the nutrient-rich Seal Marsh and Coolkuy Swamp, it forms vast aquatic meadows.
They rarely survive on land unless the substrate is waterlogged and can occasionally be found in tidal river waters with stunted growth.
