Triparmo

The triparmo evolved as a result of some carparmo frequenting the sea floor in their search for Photosagnia rombusi. A mutation that tripled their feeding arms manifested itself and ultimately changed its behavior drastically, resulting in the triparmo.

Unlike the largely static carparmo, the triparmo is much more active. They use their three arms to walk along the seafloor by grappling from substrate particle to substrate particle, snatching up any stray cell along the way. They will typically spend long periods of time latched onto clingowhexia, as they provide a massive food source for the triparmo. This often results in the triparmo dividing on clingowhexia, as they get enough nutrients to fuel their reproduction. Large numbers of triparmo tend to congregate around carpetesta mats, which provide an easy food source and walking space.
