Split off from the Rubyshroom, the Ruboreal has spread out further and made its way to the more mountainous environments. It is very similar to its ancestor; however, its stalk and roots are stronger, which helps it to grow on steeper slopes. It also exists outside of the mountains in savannah and scrubland environments. Like its ancestor, it has exposed specialized spore roots which produce airborne spores to reproduce, it uses red pigment for photosynthesis, and it is capable of budding but does not do so often.
