Protofolia are a class of Asterfolia which have a smooth top face and soft bait-covered bottom face. They are generally capable of swimming for at least some portion of their life, and some species use their top surface as a sort of flexible exoskeleton.

Protofolia which crawl on surfaces with their "locomotary baits", somewhat like a real-world starfish.
