Panasteriza are the various leafstars which have modified their filter baits into root-like structures. They are, as a group, generally motile as juveniles and sessile as adults, with come notable exceptions.

Terrestrial, plent-like Panasterizans with wind-dispersed larvae, which are commonly known as Asterplents.
