Eyebell
The Eyebell has developed its body for more efficient swimming. The webbing between its arms has expanded to form a bell. In the center of the bell a simple digestive structure adapted from the eyestar's central baits. This structure absorbs nutrients collected from the filter baits that line the edges of the bell. At each arm a long bait as long as the arm hangs down, increasing the area with which it can filter feed. It has retained its 48 eyes, 12 running along each arm. Its chemoreceptors have grown considerably, allowing it to sense food sources across great distances. Eyebells reproduce sexually. They will congregate in large schools and release their gametes, which, if fertilized, will develop into a miniature Eyebell which will then grow to adulthood over a period of a few months.
