Squash Cryofrond

The Squash Cryofrond has increased in size and replaced its ancestor in its given range. Its frond have become tapered, with the base being much thicker than the tip. This thickness is a result of the Squash Cryofrond storing sugars in the frond. The fronds themselves will remain through winter as opposed to the fronds of its ancestor, laying dormant feeding off of the sugar reserves it has built up over the year. It is otherwise much like its ancestor, living in clay and silt heavy substrates low in silicon so as to not compete with its other cryoflora cousins.
