Royal Crestgill

The Royal Crestgill split off from its ancestor and made its way into the freshwater environments. It gained a purplish coloration, which allows it to blend in with Violetmellow whenever it surfaces or is forced to do so by a predator. It fills the same niche as before, digging around the sediment for detritus to consume much like a terran earthworm. Like its ancestor, it gives live birth and has two wombs or two testes depending on the sex of the individual, and its babies are born as well-developed miniature adults. It mates by "holding hands" with its tentacle-like anal fingers, and it eats by partially enveloping its food with an inverted mouth and pulling it in.
