Rainbun
The Rainbun is an amphibious descendant of the Warmbuns native to Krakow Island. It is named for the fact that whenever it rains, it emerges from the ground, watershed, or wherever else it was hiding to feed on detritus on land. During the monsoon season, it can be seen out and about in mass numbers. When the rains end, it returns to its submerged home to feed on detritus washed into the water and wait for the next rain.
The Rainbun has 7 segments, and therefore 14 gonads each protected by flaps of skin. In the dry season it will coordinate with others of its kind using pheromones to determine when to spawn, but during the wet season it instead spawns during the rain. It can still also reproduce asexually through binary fission. Like its ancestor, it is bilateral, has a through-gut, and eats by brushing food into its mouth with its counter-arms.
