These organisms have organised themselves in such a way that each arm tip is fused to that of another Octahedral Hexapodia Major. While each cell is technically an individual organism, they spend their entire existence within a grid-like structure. The fused arm tips actually allow food and genetic material to permeate between each other, thus they behave more like one big organism than a bunch of little ones. They reproduce by mitosis.
