Nematolumbriciformes is an order of derived Fossorian Lutovermids, characterized by more nektonic habits, bristly setae on paddle-like parapodia, and a pharyngeal digestive mesh. More derived forms even possess launching hydrostatic jaws, rows of aragonite-lens eyes, and multiple body segments. Members of this order are commonly referred to as Wrigglers.

Being the most basal group in the order, members of this family only possess the pharyngeal mesh and bristly setae.

Members of this group possess launching hydrostatic jaws, rows of aragonite-lens eyes, and multiple body segments.
