Split off from the Wandering Shellstar, the Nautstar is a pelagic variant that swims or floats through open waters, filter-feeding. It is quite plentiful, with large numbers easily being found throughout the ocean. It is otherwise identical to its ancestor; it swims using wide, flat diamond-shaped lobes which are also lined with baits for capturing cells and detritus, it has eyes at the end of each tentacle for detecting predators, and it is able to retreat into its shell when threatened.
