Flisch Hexatherm
The Flisch Hexatherm is descended from Hextherma that drifted into the Flisch Sea in the Twilight Zone and settled out from the water onto the newly formed Flisch Ridge. There they found ideal growth conditions and flourished. Apart from habitat the Flisch Hexatherm is similar to its ancestor in most ways. When stressed, such as if the specific vent they rely on goes dormant, they produce resting spores which are lightweight and easily swept to a new home by the current. Under normal circumstances however they reproduce by simple binary fission, forming roughly conical honeycomb colonies around their home vent.
