Crystal Tower
Split off from the crystal bush, the crystal tower manages to survive in deeper waters by becoming taller. Though rough ocean currents have the potential to knock it over when it’s alone, it commonly grows in groups which passively support one another to help prevent that. With its increased height, it has more surface area on its trunk, which as it turns out is much better for diffusing energy-giving nutrients from the water than its crystals; as a result, it is able to survive in its dimmer habitat fairly well. To get as much light as it can, it has many crystal clusters growing along its height; as a result of its massive height and dim habitat, the crystals can be of different colors at different parts of the plant. It is otherwise very similar to its ancestor, having crystals made of interlacing living and mineral matter and a bone-like trunk made of opaque minerals taken from its environment.
