Split off from the landfall grove, the crystal dome is very similar to its ancestor, except that as it grows larger the older parts of its branches grow into one another, creating a solid dome. This increases its stability and allows it to have more photosynthesizing surface by completely covering the dome in crystals.

The crystal dome is otherwise much like its ancestor. It has deep, fortified roots, hardy spores, and grows stomata-like structures on portions of its trunk that are exposed to air.
