The Branching Snowruby is much like its ancestor. It practices both photosynthesis and detritivory, and it reproduces through airborne and waterborne spores. Its stalk has developed multiple branches each with their own crystals capping them. This has increased how well it can photosynthesize and how many spores it may produce. It has grown in size, now reaching a maximum height of 24 cm. They grow in patches along the forest floor where detritus is concentrated, usually around and on fallen and dead crystal flora. Their stalks have developed a simple cuticle to stave off desiccation during dry periods. They will live throughout the year but will cease gaining mass when detritus and nutrients in their range of influence runs out. They will usually live for 3 years before dying or being eaten.
