Asterovenatoformes are the most primitive order of Lagnodactylia. They retain the external appearance of being radially symmetric, even though all species are bilateral internally.

Primitive, externally radial Asterovenatoformes which lack a thru gut.
Microvenatoridae
Generally very small Asterovenatoformes which mainly prey on cells and have a thru gut.
