As the compass litusfoi spread, a branch of the species moved into the nearby Towel watershed and river. With little iron in the river, it found a solution. These compass litusfoi became the towelian compassfoi. It now has an organelle in its body to store iron. The towelian compassfoi conserves iron in its body to help develop the needle in case the iron depletes. The towelian compassfoi has now changed its color to a light shade of red with all the iron in its system. With no predators, the towelian compassfoi lives in peace.
Otherwise, it's pretty similar to its ancestor. It hasn't changed sizes, reproduction, or the original purpose of the needle.
